Who owns the equipment?
Inntelect’s investment partner owns the energy equipment for the term of the PPA. The hotel gets the benefit of the onsite power without having to purchase, finance, or own the system.
Who takes the financial and technology risk?
The investment partner takes responsibility for the equipment investment and system performance. Inntelect structures and manages the project so the hotel isn't taking on the risks associated with owning and operating the energy asset.
What happens if the hotel sells or the agreement ends?
The PPA is structured to address changes in ownership, property sale, and the end of the agreement. The specific options depend on the project and contract, but the hotel isn't left with an unwanted asset or an unexpected capital obligation.

How much of the hotel's electricity can onsite generation provide?
It depends on the hotel's energy load, operating profile, location, and technology selected. We determine the optimal mix of onsite generation and utility power for each property, with the goal of maximizing onsite generation while minimizing reliance on the grid.
What powers the system, and what happens if the grid goes down?
Systems can use natural gas or other readily available fuels, depending on the location and technology selected, and can be retrofitted into the hotel's existing electrical infrastructure. The hotel remains connected to the utility grid and pays a small connection charge, so utility power remains available as a backup during a catastrophic system or grid event.
How reliable is the system, and who handles maintenance?
Systems are designed for 99.99% uptime and can operate through severe weather and grid disruptions. Maintenance is covered under the PPA agreement, while system production and performance are continuously metered and monitored.
